Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE] · Version 1.0
The short version
- You can lose some or all of the money you trade with.
- No agent wins every trade, every week or every month.
- Past and tested results do not predict what will happen next.
- Only trade with money you can afford to lose.
This summary helps you read the document. The full text below is what applies.
Please read this before using Timiun with real money. It explains the main risks in plain words. It does not list every possible risk.
You can lose money
Trading in currencies, gold, cryptoassets, indices and similar products is risky. Prices can move quickly and unexpectedly. You can lose some or all of the money in your trading account. Some products, such as contracts that use multipliers or leverage, can make losses grow quickly.
Agents follow rules; they don't predict the future
- Every agent will have losing trades, and can have long losing periods.
- A strategy that worked before can stop working when markets change.
- A high win rate does not mean profit, and a low win rate does not mean loss. What matters is the size of wins and losses together.
Results you see are not promises
- Until an agent has enough live trades, its results come from running its rules on past real prices (a test, not live trading). Tests leave out things that happen in real trading, such as delays and changing costs.
- Track records describe the past. They do not predict the future.
Some markets are random
Some markets, such as Deriv's synthetic or volatility indices, are generated at random. No agent can predict them, so results on them are expected to sit around even, before fees.
Technology can fail
Internet problems, exchange outages, software errors or delays can stop trades from being placed, closed or updated as expected. Safety features such as stops, daily limits and pausing reduce risk but cannot remove it, and in very fast markets a loss can be larger than your settings suggest.
Your exchange is a separate company
Your money is held by your exchange, not by Timiun. If the exchange has problems, changes its rules, or fails, your money may be affected. Read your exchange's terms and risk warnings.
Laws and taxes
Rules about trading differ between countries and can change. You are responsible for making sure trading is allowed where you live and for paying any taxes on your results.
Good habits
- Start on Gentle, with an amount you could lose without it affecting your life.
- Watch how your agent behaves for a few weeks before raising your setting.
- Never borrow money to trade.
- Check the app regularly, and pause if you feel unsure.
